Deep in Wonder
This painting is from one of my favorite photos of my niece from years ago. She is deep in wonder studying the small sea life at the shore.
My sister took this picture of her daughter years ago. I believe they lived in Okinawa at the time, and it shows my niece deep in wonder studying the small sea life at the shore.
Being one of my favorite photos, I wanted to try and paint it. As usual, my first attempt was not so successful! LOL! But I didn’t give up and tried again. Taking what I learned from the first painting, I did a larger watercolor the second time.
My niece is now a grown married woman, and I’m glad I saved that photo for all those years.
