Fine Art Giclée Prints

Giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how a giclee print is produced. Large format inkjet printers use dye-based inks as opposed to pigment-based inks. This printing process provides higher image detail and offers vibrant color reproduction and enhanced image clarity on archival quality fine art paper.

Art Prints for Everyone!

I believe everyone should be able to afford a reasonably priced original piece of art! So I have partnered with a printer that offers high quality gilcee prints on Fine Art Photo Paper. The thick matte paper has a very subtle watercolor texture. And, the colors are amazing! Both the inks and the paper are archival. If you like any of my artwork, but buying an original piece of art is just not in your budget, consider ordering a print. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed!

Original paintings for prints are scanned in at a high resolution and color corrected to match the painting as close as possible. Digital art paintings are created at a high resolution and print ready.

Why you should always mat your prints.

A mat provides space between your new print and the glass, allowing airflow so your print will not collect moisture and possibly stick to the glass.

When you receive your print, please follow these recommendations to preserve it.

  • Keep your new print in the protective packaging until you can have it matted and framed. Never touch the print or allow it to get wet.
  • Do not hang your print in direct sunlight as this may cause fading over time. Glass that has UV protection provides an added benefit.
  • If matting and framing yourself, only handle your print by the corners and put an acid-free backing board behind it to avoid buckling.

By following these recommendations your print will retain its quality and value over time.
